About the Role

Reporting to the Branch Manager, we are looking for a number of Drivers who will be responsible for the safe and reliable transportation of company fleet between various locations both locally as well as interstate.

The role will entail you dropping off and picking up a variety of vehicles from cars, SUV’s, dual cab utes, vans, and trucks so you must be confident in driving a wide range of fleet. You will be driving to and from varying locations, as well as picking up and dropping off customers, so excellent customer service, a happy and friendly manner and excellent presentation will be imperative for this role as you will be a brand ambassador for our company.

In addition you will be responsible for ensuring that our range of vehicles are maintained and presented to the highest quality for our customers.

With your home base in Southport, this role is an On Call opportunity, so you have the flexibility to nominate what days you are available to work across Monday – Saturday between 6am – 6pm with flexibility to work up to 12 hours and do occasional overnight trips. Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out the movement of fleet between locations following safe driving practices at all times

  • Ensure a pre-inspection check is done on all vehicles before each trip, making sure that everything is in good working order including but not limited to water and oil levels, tyre tread & pressure checks and no major damage to the vehicle

  • Ensure that fuel tank is full, kilometre reading is accurate and check service due dates

  • Detail passenger and commercial vehicles as required, both internally and externally meeting company standards ensuring the highest presentation of all vehicles

  • Provide excellent customer service as you meet and greet customers as you pick up and drop off vehicles; finding prompt resolutions to any feedback or issues raised

  • Ensure all WHS requirements are followed to ensure a zero-harm workplace

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Love driving different vehicles, travelling to different locations, and meeting people with a friendly and positive attitude

  • Current open, drivers’ license with no restrictions and a good driving record is a MUST, with HR, MR, HC, MC license highly advantageous

  • Flexibility to work a minimum of 2 days per week, with availability to work 2 days in a row highly advantageous to carry out long haul / overnight trips on an ad-hoc basis

  • Basic – Intermediate Computer skills required

  • Excellent customer service and problem resolution skills

  • Own reliable transport to get to and from work

  • Strong ability to work unsupervised, with a strong work ethic, sense of responsibility & accountability

  • Ability to multitask, be highly organised with strong attention to detail
