Customer Service Specialist


Trayne Consulting is currently recruiting a Customer Service Specialist for our client who provides Insurance Premium Finance to clients via their Insurance Broker network throughout Australia.


Located in Paradise Point, this is an exciting opportunity for someone who is ready to be trained in a variety of both customer service and office admin duties.


The successful candidate will need to be a strong team player, customer focused and have a professional manner as you will be dealing with a wide range of customers over the phone.


The key duties of the role are as listed, but not limited to:

  • Contacting customers by phone, email and SMS regarding overdue insurance payments

  • Liaise with Insurance Brokers and Accounting firms to resolve debtor issues

  • Collaborate with external collections agency to recover losses as applicable

  • Date entry of key information into the clients CRM

  • Respond to web-based queries

  • General office admin duties including answer phones, filing, copying and general payment tasks

  • Provide backup support to all other team members

To be successful in this role, you must have the following proven key attributes:

  • A strong can-do work ethic where you are looking for an opportunity to become part of a long-term team

  • Basic Word, Excel & Outlook with the ability to quickly learn in-house systems as well as fast and accurate data entry skills

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written and have the ability to build positive relationship and liaise clearly and concisely with external parties

  • Comfortable in handling difficult conversations from time to time

  • Must have a flexible and interchangeable attitude to work across all parts of the business and to cover for other team members when they are on leave.

Please note the hours for this role are Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm. As our client has a national customer base you may be required to work local public holidays, however you will get time off in lieu for any public holidays worked. In addition, our client remains open over the Christmas/New Year period (not including public holidays) so you may be required over this period.
