Credit Analyst

Trayne Consulting is currently recruiting for a Credit Analyst to join our Client's Gold Coast team, located in Bundall. Our Client is a fast growing, private mortgage lending and investment business, that prides itself in its ability to provide efficient and forward-thinking solutions for their clients across Australia

To meet our Client's needs, we are looking for an experienced Credit Analyst, who is self-motivated and who is driven by success and is always seeking continual improvement in the workplace.

The key duties of the Credit Analyst role are as listed, but not limited to:

  • Review and assess commercial lending applications from application to settlement

  • Manage KPI's around loan book demographics – including management of loan inflows and approvals

  • Getting the best outcomes for our clients by building and leveraging effective relationships with third parties

  • Approval authorities will be applicable once competency proven in line with internal policies and procedures

  • Responsible for the quality of loans approved and settlement, managing delinquencies and ensuring they stay within set tolerances

  • Exceeding service quality standards and meeting tight deadlines

To be successful in the Credit Analyst role, you must have the following proven key attributes:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role, including the ability to assess self-employed applications including company and trust structures is essential.

  • Previous experience in Mortgage Lending, Credit, Credit Analyst, Banking & Finance roles highly regarded

  • Strong mortgage credit experience, commercial and private lending is a preference

  • Commercial lending and private lending experience highly advantageous as well as experience in 2nd tier lending

  • Strong knowledge of the NCCPA, responsible lending practices, underwriting credit principles and legislative requirements in the Home Loan/ Mortgage Industry

  • Focus on compliance, high attention to detail, dotting the 'I's' and crossing the 't's' on every action

  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills and a commercial mindset

  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to effectively convey information verbally and in writing whilst building exception professional relationships

  • Certificate 4 in Financial Services or higher, along with AML / CTF Compliance certificate highly regarded
