Business Development Manager

About the Company:

Trayne Consulting is currently recruiting an experienced Business Development Manager to join our Client's Gold Coast team, located in Bundall. Our client is a fast growing, private mortgage lending and investment business, that prides itself on its ability to provide efficient and forward-thinking finance solutions for their clients across Australia.

About the Role:

Reporting to the COO, this role will see you sourcing and maintaining new relationships with an Australia-wide network of Finance/Mortgage Brokers where you will develop and maintain those relationships to service and provide private funding solutions. The key to this role is to grow and maintain the Broker network for the business ensuring that no opportunity is left unturned.

While initially working from an existing database of clients, you will also be required to seek out new opportunities and form lasting relationships to ensure that our client is at the forefront of all future interactions.

This role will see you travelling interstate approx. 1-2 days per week (to ensure you have a face-to-face relationship and start to form a network of Brokers on a national basis). Attending networking events, industry briefings as well as 1-on-1 meetings will be essential to the success of this role.

Key Duties:

  • Develop a strategic sales strategy to grow an income producing Broker network by identifying opportunities

  • Utilise existing database to connect with potential Brokers

  • Hunt, build and nurture new Broker partnerships

  • Ensure call cycle implemented to maximise future opportunities

  • Implement competitor analysis to ensure strong understanding of the market as well as identification of market opportunities & gaps to present to the Product Team for sign off and roll out.

  • Effectively communicate & promote all relevant services and products to ensure maximum market uptake

  • Become the Subject Matter Expert in the industry

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in a Business Development / Sales Executive role with a Business or Finance background highly advantageous

  • A Business or Finance Diploma/Degree highly regarded

  • A hunter mentality with a natural closer ability

  • Outstanding relationship building, communication and influencing skills

  • The ability to identify opportunities and drive execution excellence

  • Strong organisational skills with excellent follow up and reporting skills as well as numeric aptitude

  • Experience working with a CRM with strong MS Office skills

  • A desire to do better, be better, and achieve success!

  • Have full flexibility to travel interstate on a regular basis, 1-2 days per week

The successful candidate must be willing to undertake a police check before commencing this role.

Our client closes for 2 weeks over the Christmas/New Year period which will be taken as part of your annual leave entitlements.
